James Contreras - known to his students as JC - is the PGA Golf Professional at Fairbanks Golf Course, one of the most storied clubs in interior Alaska. JC offers individual lessons at every skill level, group sessions, junior instruction, and runs a dedicated Tuesday Night Ladies program. He also participates in the PGA HOPE program, providing six weeks of free golf instruction to active duty military and veterans. Whether you are picking up the game for the first time or working on a specific part of your game, JC brings PGA-level knowledge and personal attention to every session.

Peggy Gustafson is one of the most decorated golf instructors in the country. A Class A LPGA Teaching and Club Professional with more than 40 years of teaching experience, Peggy has been named to Golf Digest's Top 50 Women Teachers in America, Golf for Women Magazine's Top 50 Teachers, the LPGA Top 50 Best Teachers, and won LPGA Central Section Teacher of the Year in both 1998 and 2008. She is also the only female instructor ever to win the Golftec Teacher of the Year award. Peggy teaches summers at Anchorage Golf Course and winters at Portobello Country Club in Arizona.

Brian Hild is a high-performance golf coach operating under the Alaska.Golf banner, built around serious competitive players. A USGTF Certified Golf Teaching Professional, TPI Golf Level 2 and TPI Power Level 2 Certified, WGTF member, and International PGA affiliate, Brian offers a Tour Level Prep program that is application-based and intentionally limited in enrollment. Every player accepted receives a fully individualized development plan built around a complete TPI physical screening, data-driven ball-striking evaluation, and a competitive preparation framework calibrated to their actual tournament calendar.

Rich Lundahl is the private lesson instructor at Kenai Golf Course, one of the most challenging and scenic 18-hole courses on the Kenai Peninsula - among the highest slope ratings in North America. Rich works with golfers who want to genuinely understand course management, shot-making, and how to score on demanding terrain. The course also runs ladies and junior clinics through the season. Both Palmer Golf Course and Settlers Bay Golf Course offer golf instruction and junior golf programs throughout the summer season. Palmer is a championship 18-hole layout with stunning views of Pioneer Peak, the Matanuska River, and Knik Glacier, and has hosted USGA U.S. Open Local Qualifying. Blake Smith is the Director of Instruction at Anchorage Golf Course and has been teaching the game for more than 30 years. Named Golf Digest's Top Instructor for Alaska in both 2005 and 2007, Blake has a genuine gift for making the game click for players at every level. He has served as PGA Jr. League Captain at Anchorage Golf Course for over a decade. Whether you are getting comfortable for your first round or preparing for tournament competition, Blake meets you where you are and builds from there.

Frank Wilson has been a golf professional since 1979, making him one of Alaska's longest-serving instructors. After teaching at Eagleglen Golf Course in the early 1980s, Frank spent years as a tour caddy on the PGA, European, Asian, LPGA, and Ladies European tours. In 2006 he taught at the Jaidee Golf Academy in Thailand, then returned to Anchorage in 2009 and has been teaching at Moose Run Golf Course ever since. Frank's philosophy: no two people are built the same, so no two swings should look the same. He teaches both individuals and groups.

Joshua Cantrell is the Golf Course Manager and Head Golf Professional at Moose Run Golf Course on JBER, one of the top military golf facilities in the country. A PGA member since 2012, Josh completed the Professional Golf Management Program at the University of Idaho and worked his way up through the ranks from assistant professional to head professional. He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served as a Munitions Systems Technician from 2000 to 2006 - a background that shapes his deep commitment to the PGA HOPE program, through which he provides golf instruction to veterans and active duty service members. Josh has been the host professional for the Alaska Folds of Honor Championship for multiple years running, helping raise tens of thousands of dollars for military families.

Zach Perry is the PGA Professional at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Anchorage, one of the most active golf facilities in the state year-round. Fox Hollow operates a full sports dome with an indoor driving range and simulators, making Zach available to students through the Alaska winter as well as the summer season. He runs junior golf clinics and youth programs, coordinates large-scale tournaments and leagues, and provides personalized instruction for golfers at every skill level. Zach is one of Alaska's most competitive golfers and brings that playing experience directly into his teaching.

Steven Taylor is the Assistant Golf Professional at Moose Run Golf Course on JBER. A lifelong Alaskan, Steven has been part of the Moose Run team since 2020, working his way from cart attendant to pro shop attendant before being accepted into the PGA's Professional Golf Management program in 2023 and being promoted to Assistant Golf Professional. He is currently a PGA Level 3 Associate and is on track to earn full PGA membership. Steven brings local knowledge, genuine enthusiasm for the game, and a commitment to growing golf in Alaska.
