The Corps That
Runs Alaska Golf

Not every golfer competes for the trophy. Some build the stage it's won on. The Alaska Golf Volunteer Corps is where passion becomes legacy — and where the work you put in earns you a place in this association.

The game doesn't run itself. Behind every championship, every tee time called on schedule, every round played fairly — there is a Volunteer Corps member who made it happen. They are not in the background. They are the foundation.

The Work That Defines the Season
01
Rules & Standards
Serve as a rules official on course during AGA championship events. You are the authority. You protect the integrity of competition so every scorecard means something.
02
Scoring & Operations
Run the scoring tent, manage leaderboards, and keep the field moving. The rhythm of a championship round depends on you staying sharp from the first tee to the final putt.
03
Course Marshaling
Keep the gallery and the field moving with pace and purpose. Marshals set the tone for the entire event. Pros do it effortlessly. So do Corps members.
04
Player Services
Registration, pairings, on-course logistics. You are the face players see when they arrive. Make it a face that says: this is a championship-level operation.
05
Junior Golf Programs
Support the AGA's junior events and clinics. You're not just running a tournament — you're shaping what the next generation of Alaskan golfers believes the game can be.
06
Championship Support
All-hands support for the AGA's flagship championships — State Am, Women's Cup, Senior Championship. The biggest stages. The most important work. The full Corps experience.

01
You Love This Game
You follow the scores, you know the courses, and you have a genuine investment in seeing Alaska golf grow. You're not here to check a box. You're here because this matters.
02
You Hold the Standard
Corps volunteers represent the AGA in the field. That means composure, judgment, and professionalism on every hole, every round. The players notice. The score reflects it.
03
You Show Up
Alaska weather is not an excuse. A championship tee time is a commitment. Corps members understand that reliability is respect — for the game, the players, and each other.
"
There is no Alaska State Amateur without the people who give their Saturday to make it happen. They are, without question, the most important people on the course.
Alaska Golf Association
Four Steps to Corps Standing
01
Step One
Express Your Interest
Reach out to the Alaska Golf Association directly. Tell us who you are, what you play, and where you want to contribute. There's no lengthy application — we want to know you, not your paperwork.
02
Step Two
Choose Your Events
The AGA will share the upcoming championship calendar and available volunteer assignments. You select the events that fit your schedule and your interests. We match you to the right role.
03
Step Three
Do the Work
Show up, stay sharp, and hold the standard. Every event you volunteer at is logged toward your Corps record. Three events earns membership. Six earns Premier standing.
04
Step Four
Collect What You've Earned
Your membership is activated at the close of the season based on your volunteer record. No waiting, no forms. The AGA makes it right because the Corps makes everything else possible.
